DESIGN BRIEF
The single‐family home is a still a dominant form in Vancouver’s housing typology. This custom house is located on the most common of Vancouver’s single‐family zoning of RS‐1. Situated on a wider and deeper lot than the standard lot size, this residential development included a two storey laneway house in the rear yard. Both the principal house and the laneway house are contemporary designs with wood accent cladding and large windows to optimize natural light in the interior spaces.

The simple contemporary gable roof with the standing seam metal roof details brings modern elements to this home.
