THE LIGHTFOOT RESIDENCE
Vancouver Custom Single Family Residential
Carman Kwan, Principal Architect @ predecessor firm Hearth Architectural Inc.
DESIGN BRIEF
The Lightfoot residence is a heritage listed building built in 1903. Originally a single‐family house, it has been carefully restored and renovated to accommodate five residential rental units in the downtown community of the West End. The original details of the building have been carefully restored and replicated. Even the original colours have been carefully matched and repainted to reflect its original vibrance at the turn of the twentieth century.

Fabian Residence
FABIAN RESIDENCE
Vancouver Custom Single Family Residential
DESIGN BRIEF
The Fabian residence was originally built in 1910 on a short lot in Vancouver’s SOMA neighbourhood. Over the years the house was added to with an infilled porch and an insensitive rear addition. In the major renovation, the original porch was restored with more simplified modern details and all windows were replaced and the original wood shingles retained in situ. The interior was completely gutted and re‐planned to accommodate a contemporary open floor plan and finishes.
